Main Goals

As a standing policy, continuous observance of strict implementation of the ISM and ISPS codes is being imposed on the vessels and full commitment to class, national and international regulations is devoted, enhanced by internal procedures of adherence to high qualitystandards,on-board maintenance and continuous upgrading of ship and shore personnel and vessels’ condition.

KOUROS MARITIME ENTERPRISES INC.. has in place procedures for proper training to all seafarers who attend regularly all available courses and seminars relating to their job and undergo ‘simulation training’ on their respective ranks. Similarly so for the training of office personnel who attend regularly several seminars and presentations.

A look into the future

KOUROS MARITIME ENTERPRISES INC. is now fully organized in respect of providing Ship Management & Ship Operating Services and our plans are to increase our fleet depending on market trends. Headed by Capt. Kostas who is assisted by his son Alexios, a graduate of Indianapolis University and holder of MBA himself who is expected to take over in good grounds in a few years, the company is looking to the future with optimism.

Surrounded by an ever growing number of experienced shore staff who have proven their worth in the Piraeus shipping community over the years, and they themselves train the younger shipping educated staff of the company, we are here to stay and slowly but steadily build a small fleet of good and reliable ships that will make the seamen happy and proud to work for.

  • We are proud to declare that none of the ships has ever lost a minute of hire due to bad condition or non-readiness of cargo holds.
  • We are proud to certify that in 95 per cent of any Port Sate Control or USCG inspections we have clean papers with no deficiencies at all.
  • We are proud to note that all our seamen, who regularly come back in same positions, are competing with each other to come back to our ships.
  • We are proud to have applied all new rules, regulations and requirements, even those which are still not mandatory, long before their implementation dates.
  • We are proud to have applied since the very first days the latest state of the art ship to office communications and in house technology and management systems, i.e. we are amongst the first in Greece that applied the Pole Star monitoring system of Purple Finder for tracing and alerting vessels position, long before DSAS alert and tracing systems were required by IMO.
